The Koritnica

(from the confluence of the Žventarska and Huda grapa to the outflow)

Fishing family Tolmin

This is a small river that forms from several streams below the village of Rut and runs for 4.7 km before entering the Bača in the village of Koritnica. Its banks are heavily wooded and its current is very swift. Just above the village of Koritnica, it drops steeply into the Bača valley. It is inhabited by Cottus gobio and all species of trout except for rainbow trout.
