Selška Sora is a beautiful torrential river of a salmonid character. The valley of the river is tight and the slopes are steep and high. The water flows across the rocks, wanders through the valley and stops in clear pools. The riverbed, which is still in considerable part in its natural state, consists of sandstone, conglomerate, limestone and triassic dolomite. The river is well represented with rainbow trout, grayling and chub, and from time to time, a brown trout is caught.
