Poljanska Sora is a river of torrential character, with a spring on the border of the Alpine and Karst world. The river belongs to the group of salmonid waters as it has clean water and well preserved aquatic habitats. On a large part of the stream, the naturally preserved riverbed is intertwined with numerous pools, rapids and overpasses. In it, there are several species of fish that make it a Natura 2000. The river is still inhabited by huchen. In addition to the huchen, rainbow trout, barbel, nase and chub are also important.
Huchen fishing is also possible in this district. For huchen fishing please contact RD Sora (contact).
