Koroška ribiška družina has its head seat in Dravograd and has approximately 400 fishermen members and approximately 30 juniors. It has been managing about 250 of carinthian rivers since 1954. Its main tasks are to protect and breed fish and also to protect the aquatic life in and around the water.It is divided into 5 districts: Slovenj Gradec, Dravograd, Ravne na Koroškem, Prevalje in Mežica-Črna. Headquarters of Koroška ribiška družina are in Dom koroških ribičev in Dravograd. The most important rivers to fish are the Drava, the Meža and the Mislinja.
