The river Hudinja is 32km long and its current is very fast at the beginning but it slows down when it reaches the middle of Celje.
In the upper course of the river we can find american (rainbow) and brown trout. Let's mention an interesting fact, too: in the part of the river above Vitanje you can only find wild brown trouts because other fish cannot croos high barriers due to lower part of the channel.
The river is very clean here because it is rich in invertebrates and in its part above Vitanje can even be drunk .
In the stiller part of the channel, from Višnja vas to the outflow into the Voglajna, the river offers us the float fishing for common nases, chubs, Danube roaches and barbels.
