The warm water enables fishing throughout the year. Due to thermal water the district is home to some exotic inhabitants; frogs can be seen even during the winter. The fishing is impossible in summer and autumn because the backwater gets covered with thick layer of floating plants.

This backwater is home to chubs, catfish, carps, gibel carps, bleaks, rudds and even tilapias.
