Kamniška Bistrica 4 is a mixed district. It starts in the first part of the dam at the Homec dam and flows to the Sava. The upper stretch has lower water levels, as the water is taken away by the Radomeljska and Homska Mlinscica streams. The upper stretch of the river is in the grayling zone (to the confluence of with the Raca river), from there downwards rainbow trout, chub, barbel, nase and huchen are more frequent.
