The fishermen hunt big and healthy fish in the waters of the RD Barje all year long. The greedy huchens from the Ljubljanica are the most famous followed by cautious carps from the Iščica and feisty pikes from the lake Krimsko jezero. The other districts where you can fish are named : Mali graben, Iška, the lake Rakitna, the lake Strahomersko jezero,Želimeljščica and Škofeljski graben. All the fishermen are very welcome whether they spin or fly fish, fish for carps as well as others. The Ribiška družina Barje has a long tradition - since 1955 - and the members are very proud of it. They are all fans of the bog Ljubljansko barje, guardians of nature and fishermen to the core. And they are also bonded by friendship not just by fishing.
